PC Projectors – Let’s Get To Know The Basics
Have you ever heard of projectors? Have you ever tried using one of these technologies? Well I guess it would be a big YES, right? I am not sure if you have tried using it but one thing I am very much sure of is that you have seen them already.
Projectors are now being used almost everywhere especially when someone presents a topic, business proposals and even through educating students.
Yes educating students. As far as I can recall; during my college days, when we were assigned to report on a certain topic, we no longer use papers and broad marking pens but instead PowerPoint and then laptops + projectors/ pc projectors. With this kind of technology, we were able to show our classmates of a more visible projection of what our topic is all about and even amaze them with the graphics and let them feel that they were just watching movies in a cinema except that I am standing in the corner doing the discussion.
PC projectors or digital projectors and some other times called as LCD projectors are easy to use as long as you know the basics – where to attach the projector’s cord and set the pc’s settings and then in just a glance, you’d be watching your favorite movie.
Here are some steps in connecting the projector to the PC that I’d like to share with you:
- First of all, position the projector very well so that you can view things clearly on the screen.
- See to it that the computer’s mouse and the keyboard is set-up and are within reach.
- There are two ends of a VGA (Video Graphics Array) cable, choose one and connect it to the LCD display found at the back of your computer.
- At the back part of the projector, connect the VGA cable’s other end.
- Plug-in the projector, turn it ON, set the video input channel properly with the use of a remote or the buttons present in theprojector.
- Turn on your computer. You can’t view something on your computer’s screen but you can view all the settings in the projector’s screen. If nothing has changed, you have to recheck all the connections and try again.
- Do some adjustments on the projector’s part to get a clearer view.
- Sit down, relax, and get your pop corn and watch your favorite movie. Or if you’re up to presenting a proposal, you can now start!
Hope those things above helped you out.
